1)i think Ko, Yoko and their mom felt really sad but at the same time they felt happy. They feel sad because they were supposed to wait for Hedeo, but they couldn't because they were afraid of the Korean communist's, so they decided to leave for japan. They were happy because they were going back to their homeland and if i was going back to my homeland after a war, i would be extremely happy. Ko and her mother were crying on the boat for two reasons, the first reason is that they felt ashamed that they are leaving Hedeo in Korea, and the second reason is that they felt happy to go home.
B) i agree with their decision because in a few days the Korean communist would be after them. I would do that if i was in that position.
2)Do you think Hedeo would be mad at his family for leaving him behind?
I think he wouldn't and would of done the same thing in that position.

1: I agree with you. I think Hideyo will understand why they had to leave and would have done the same thing. They did seem happy that they got to go home.
b: I think it was a smart decision to leave because thre are more dangers than just the korean communists.
2: I agree, I think he will understand why they had to flee from the communists for multiple reasons.
1a. I also agree with you because I think that Hideyo would understand what conditions they were living under and why they had to leave him behind.
b. I would also leave, because they were dangerous living conditions.
2.I think that he will be kind of mad, until he realizes, once he's been in Seoul and Pusan for a while, why they had to leave and go somewhere else again.

1.) I agree with you and wade Hideyo would understand and have done the same thing.
2.) I think that it is very hard to move as quick as they had to go but they aleast know it the safest there even though its still really dangerous.
3.) I agree he well understand and forgive thefact that they had to do in order to be safe.
1. I believe that they dd the right thing. They protected their lives and honor and Hideyo would approve.
1.b. I would leave too. I would not want to be raped or see my family hurt.
2. I agree. He would want to protect his family and so he would want them to go to Japan.
